ARTWORK - MAKING SMILEY. CROPPING.

Cropping

- Alright, amputate right leg.
Crack!
- I said - right!!
Crack!!
- I said - leg!!!

Now let's cut the surplus canvas away.

Open a freshly made 'My_masterpiece.gif' file (his parent in PSD format could be closed at this stage). First, using the Move tool, we'll set guides for cropping which are hiding behind the canvas ruler . [Fig.3].

Click every frame in the animation palette one by one to make sure we won't cut any part of our image and correct guides if nesessary. Leave one pixel extra all around.

From Tools palette pull out the knife Crop, cut along the guides and delete the excess by hitting the Enter key. [Fig.4]

That's it!! From here go ahead and change any color you like if you have nothig better to do.

In Table Color palette double click on the color you want to change, in the opening Color Picker window select any color, lets say, orange, click OK and check out the new smiley in the Web browser:

Now, when we save the animated image, all colors will remain the way you specify. The saving techinque is still the same - from menu File we select Save Optimized only this time you won't be bothered by any dialog windows popping up.
